On December 1 and 2, measurements were successfully carried out on the RAM Rupanco in Puerto Montt, an excellent opportunity to recognize the challenges of space and capabilities of the vessel.
We were able to measure emissions, fuel consumption and torque and speed capabilities of one of the propulsion systems, all this information was collected for further processing where the results showed a high feasibility of hybridization considering the short periods of operation at high load, this was corroborated by measuring during a towing operation in the bay of Puerto Montt, a first experience for many of the members of the THEMS Measurements Team.
